Lawrence Lambert

Lawrence has resided on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, since the mid 60’s  where until 2008  he owned  the Page Point Inn, waterfront resort, Resturant and Marina in Ladysmith. Performance and blue water sailing has persistently occupied his liesure time; most recently campaigning his beloved 12M, Dame Pattie, the 1967 Australian Challenger for the America’s Cup. In the off chance of chartering a catamaran in the Caribbean, a new sailing interest  emerged which resulted in the purchase of a Fountaine Pajot, 60 ft performance multihull. In May 2008 the new catamaran, Papillon was launched in La Rochelle, France and sailed across the Bay of Biscay and down the Portugal and Spanish coast, into and around the Med. Lawrence, an Electrical Engineer/ Oceanographer, and  P.Eng in British Columbia sailed away from an a dynamic entrepreneureal career as founder of several successful technology based company’s, one of note, Applied Microsystems based in Sidney, BC. This site tracks the voyage of his multihull Papillon.
